Kalemegdan Disk Release Information

“Időrabló – Omega 7” is borne by a heavy soundscape made of László Benkő’s synthesizers, most prominent during the eponymous track that clocks in just under a quarter of an hour and is divided into three movements. The English version was released in several countries as “Time Robber”. This CD contains both the complete Hungarian and English versions.

Beginning with “Time Robber” in 1976 and its Hungarian counterpart “Időrabló“ in 1977, the band shifted toward progressive rock, with lengthy instrumental interludes, surging organ solos, and various electronic “space sounds”. “Időrabló” / “Time Robber” has been the best selling Omega album ever with far more than 1.000.000 copies sold. “Gammapolis” was the finale of this phase.
