A very valuable collection of surviving studio recordings from the Ostrava radio studio!

Apart from the probably already definitely lost recordings from Ústí nad Labem, Olomouc and Prague, Ostrava is a unique chance to hear the young Karel Kryl commenting on the events of that time with a minimum of time. Above all, the archive of the Czech Radio, but also the Karel Kryl Archive and the sources of the compiler Jan Šulc have given rise to this extraordinary project. With an attempt to provide minimal repertoire overlap and, on the contrary, to complement previous Kryl recordings, you will find here a total of 29 tracks.

There is nothing here from “Bratříček, zavírej vrátka” (Little Brother, Close the Door), but there is everything omitted from it and other tracks defining Kryl’s profile at that time. A total of 19 of them appear on the CD for the first time. This interesting musical line-up has been sonically elevated by O. Slezák’s remastering at ADK-Prague.
