The Ultimate Collection’s Greatest Hits are available on double vinyl

The Ultimate Collection, a series of Croatia Records that was the real continuation of the popular The Platinum Collection series, but dedicated to the biggest rock names from the rich catalog of Jugoton, i.e. Croatia Records, eventually exceeded the circulation of 100.000 sold copies.

This made it the most successful rock collection of all time in the Yugoslavian discography areas. The edition was launched in 2007, and after its Greatest Hits release in CD form, it was time for some songs to end up on the original medium on which they were first released (at least most of them) – on vinyl.

Matt Collins, Grupa 220 (Group 220), Indexi (Indexes), Boris Babarović i Crveni Koralji (& Red Corals), YU Grupa (YU Group), Korni Grupa (Korni Group), Time, Bijelo Dugme (White Button), Idoli (The Idols), Leb i Sol (Bread & Salt), Parni Valak (Steam Roller), Divlje Jagode (Wild Strawberries), Aerodrom (Airport), Teška Industrija (Heavy Industry), Majke (The Mothers), Laufer, Azra, Električni Orgazam (Electric Orgazm), Đavoli (The Devils), Haustor (House Gate), Buldožer (Bulldozer), Prljavo Kazalište (Dirty Theater), Jura Stublić & Film, Psihomodo Pop (Psychomodo Pop), Daleka Obala (Distant Coast), Opća Opasnost (General Danger) and Crvena Jabuka (Red Apple) are part of the double black 180gram vinyl, with which every customer will receive a download code for the mp3 version of the release.

Along with the release come short biographies and photos of all bands and artists. The author of the original edition of The Ultimate Collection is Želimir Babogredac, and the songs for the Greatest Hits edition have been selected by the well-known radio presenter of the Second Program of the Croatian Radio, Zlatko “Turki” Turkalj.
