In the sad period, after the singer's departure to the heavenly plains, several compilations appeared, but this one is the most complete in focus and scope. Of course, not all the biggest hits are missing, but the thematic division into three units made it possible to add songs that were not available before. Compiler Jiří Svoboda - in close collaboration with Mrs. Matušková - selected more than sixty compositions from 1960 to 1990, ie from the whole of Waldemar's most important creative period.
The first CD is a show of pop songs, from the traffic lights to the brilliant second half of the sixties (with essential lyrics by Ivo Fischer) and the Italian phase of the beginning of the seventh decade to looking back on When They Go to the Men's Summer of 1983.
The second CD is dedicated to the successful collaboration with the group KTO, ie the smell of country music. It was never about stylistic fundamentalism, but rather about musical inspiration and correspondingly epic lyrics for a bearded guy. Logically, the singer Olga Blechová Matušková also belonged to him in a number of very successful songs in common.
The final CD features Wald's naval, folk and tramp songs, sometimes sinful and partying, sometimes sensitively Czech and Moravian or Posázavsky sentimental, but always authentic in the performance of the excellent baritone of this irresistible eternal boy.
