DG 307 with its new program “Životy? Nebo bludné kruhy?” (Lives? Or Vicious Circles?), one of the best recordings in their history. Apart from Zajíček’s excellent poetry, this concert project is interesting for its sonic return to the ensemble’s roots, aided by a suggestive composition divided into several movements, a cast of several bass instruments and colorful, constantly “dancing” percussion.

The studio project is carefully mixed and the instruments constantly fill the entire space, so you don’t even have time to breathe when it’s over after 48 minutes. An avant-garde recording, yet very clear and internally calm.

The line-up on the album: Pavel Zajíček: voice, iron; Tomáš Vtípil: violin, sequencer, sampler; Tomáš Schilla: cello; Michal Koval: bass guitar; Ivan Bierhanzl: electric bass; Petr Fučík: drums.
