Croatia Records Release Information

The fifth double LP released from the “25 Greatest Hits” edition is that of the legendary Zdravko Čolić

The double vinyl edition rounds out the rich music collection of one of the greatest and most famous Yugoslavian artists. The compilation features timeless hits such as “Ti si mi u krvi” (You Are in My Blood), “Živiš u oblacima” (You Are Living in the Clouds), “Vagabund” (Vagabond), “Pjevam danju, pjevam noću” (I Sing by Day, I Sing by Night), and many others.

The packaging of this luxurious double vinyl features an interview with Zdravko Čolić, a musical giant with more than fifty years of career behind him and many fans around the Yugoslavian region.

“I think that in art, and let’s call this part a kind of art, although it is debatable what kind of art it is, there is no expiration date, except for health and the question of whether someone can play or sing or do some other job in the music field. And possibly while the audience is looking for you. Now we are watching the Rolling Stones turn 80 and release a new album as if they are just starting out. This type of work is somehow woven with that energy that as long as people have the strength, as long as the desire drives them and as long as there is interest in their work, that is how it works. As long as they are looking for you, it is good”, said Čolić in an interview about the duration of his musical career.

This summer, Croatia Records launched the new music edition “25 Greatest Hits” exclusively on vinyl. It is a music project that aims to remind us of the most significant, most popular and best-selling Yugoslavian authors, performers and songs. The first five vinyls were adorned with songs by Mišo Kovač, Tereza Kesovija, Arsen Dedić, Novi Fosili and Zdravko Čolić, which rounded off this year’s edition.

The authors of the “25 Greatest Hits” series are music lovers and connoisseurs: Želimir Babogredac, director of the record company Croatia Records, and Zlatko Turkalj, music critic, journalist and radio editor. The graphic design has been done by Iva Vianello from Črčke design.
