Pavian Records Release Information

The Bratislava Hot Serenaders Orchestra is celebrating its thirtieth anniversary with the new album “As Time Goes by”, its thirteenth in a row. Originally, the orchestra members wanted to optimistically call it “My Troubles Are over”, hoping that the so-called pandemic will pass and better times will dawn. In the end, however, they decided for the title “As Time Goes by” to remind their fans of the long and successful journey they have already been on together.

The world premiere of this new album took place at the Kulturfabrik Hainburg, where the orchestra traditionally plays at a festival dedicated to the legacy of Joseph Haydn. The LP version of the thirteenth album of the Bratislava Hot Serenaders Orchestra brings 14 pieces that are among the best and most played songs of this and past seasons. Thirteen is therefore certainly not an unlucky number for the orchestra and its fans.

The title track of “As Time Goes by” is the eponymous world-famous song made famous by the cult film “Casablanca”. It was listed as one of the ten biggest hits of the 20th century.

The album was made possible in this difficult “pandemic” period thanks to the “Fond na podporu umenia” (Fund for the Support of the Arts).
